The community dental service provides a dental service that complements services provided by general dental services, personal dental services and the hospital dental service to meet the oral health needs of the population of Teesside.
We provide:
- dental care for patients, who, because of disability or complex needs have a requirement for specific dental care, equipment or expertise.
- a referral service for general dental practitioners, the hospital dental service, general medical practitioners and other allied health and social care professionals, for specified patients groups.
- oral health promotion to targeted groups according to data gathered locally on Teesside
- screening of children within special educational needs schools and carrying out dental surveys in named groups on Teesside.
- We provide services across Stockton, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland from various sites across Teesside.
