North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions (NTH Solutions) was established in April 2018 to provide estates, facilities and support services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. With a 700+ strong workforce, they also provide services nationwide.

NTH Solutions is an NHS Subsidiary. As well as delivering exemplary services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, they provide solutions nationally to external organisations that improve efficiency, safety and reduce costs.

From revolutionary infection control products, to a full suite of facilities services they extend the NHS ethos and standards into the wider community.

Reusable gown and apron service

A fully managed and flexible reusable gown and apron PPE service. Placing sustainability and quality at the forefront.

Pathisol trial

A new daily deep cleaning technology, with revolutionary technology that enables deep cleaning in hospitals every day – cutting out the need to close wards to decontaminate and clean. The decontamination system helps to prevent the spread of infection with as little disruption to services as possible.

NTH Solutions also provides their deep cleaning services nationally through NHS Deep Cleaning and Advisory Services.

Community kit bag

Created in collaboration with the Trusts front line district nurses, infection control teams, occupational health and design specialists, the kitbag is a fully customised solution for community staff – brought to market by the NTH Solutions team.

The first kit bag designed within the NHS, it is specifically designed to combat the challenges faced by community care staff. Allowing them to easily transport all required kit to each patient visit. It is already in use by hundreds of NHS employees across the country, as they continue to deal with the overwhelming demand for healthcare services.

Sterile instrument cleaning

40 highly trained technicians clean and sterilise over 500 scopes, 1500 instrument trays and 1000 supplementary (single) instruments every week. State of the art equipment and a 24-hour turn around time are amongst the reason that various NHS trusts, private hospitals and GP surgeries rely on NTH Solutions to process their equipment.

Medical equipment supply and servicing

Established well over 30 years ago, the NTH Solutions team of nine clinical engineers offer Medical Equipment Supply and Servicing with meticulously quality check, service and repair (when required) over 700 individual pieces of medical equipment every month for various organisations including NHS Trusts, private hospitals and minor surgery clinics.

Medical and hygiene consumables

Streamlined purchasing of medical and non-medical consumables is essential to ensure the smooth running of our Trust. NTH Solutions aim is to extend that expertise and buying power to help local community organisations such as; GP networks, schools, universities, care homes and local authorities maximise their expenditure.

Mattress decontamination and management

NTH Solutions decontaminate and quality test up to 100 foam and air flow mattresses every single week. They operate from the only NHS hospital sited mattress facility in the region, based at University Hospital of North Tees.

A fast track service, ward audits and collection and delivery as standard are amongst the reasons that other health and care providers rely on NTH Solutions.

Health, safety and sustainability training

With specialist knowledge in estates and facilities, NTH Solutions leadership team has more than 500 years of combined experience within the healthcare sector.

Consequently, they continue to perform within the first quartile of all NHS Trusts nationally in the NHS’ officially recognised framework for estates efficiency.

In addition to supporting the Trust, NTH Solutions provide a range of courses to help fellow healthcare organisations meet their statutory requirements, while improving sustainability and encouraging efficient working.
