Volunteers still needed to join the fight against COVID-19 and be a part of an ongoing vaccine trial.
NHS staff from across Durham and the Tees Valley are part of a joined team running the Novavax trial at the University Hospital of Hartlepool.
The eligibility criteria asks volunteers to be between 18 and 84 and at normal or high risk of coronavirus.
Research lead, Kerry Colling said: “I am delighted with how the trial has developed. Research staff from three health trusts in the region have come together and are working seamlessly.
