• Children and young people’s elective investigation unit

  The children and young people’s elective investigation unit (CYPEIU) is based at the University Hospital of North Tees. We provide care for children and young people who are attending for day case surgery and investigations.

  This nurse-led unit provides care for children and young people who are attending for day case surgery. The unit is based in children’s outpatients at the University Hospital of Hartlepool.

  Our team of occupational therapists and therapy assistants assess and treat children who have long-term health needs or problems with movement and co-ordination.

  The children’s outpatients department provides care to children and young people for a range of health issues from two main hospital sites in Stockton and Hartlepool.

  The children’s ward is based at the University Hospital of North Tees. We have a 26 bedded unit and care for children and young people from birth to the age of 16.
